Haida Gwaii Mini-Safari Delete Tour (002611C-20)
starting atCA$2,995

6 days / 5 nights

Haida Gwaii Mini-Safari
We take in all this and more on our adventure holiday of the remote Queen Charlotte Islands, a colonial name recently replaced with Haida Gwaii which means “Islands of the People”. A globally unique ecosystem that partially escaped the last ice-age, this archipelago of more than 150 islands evokes comparisons to the equally isolated and biologically diverse Galapagos Islands. We visit several villages on the largest islands, Graham and Morseby, home to most of Haida Gwaii’s 5000 residents. We immerse ourselves in the splendour of Naikoon Provincial Park. Later we head out by zodiac to the more remote Louise Island and look for its secrets.

St. Helena
Located deep in the South Atlantic, some 16 degrees south of the equator, this remarkable island of 4,500 inhabitants still remains accessible only by the Royal Mail Ship. Currently the RMS St. Helena sails to the island from Cape Town, taking six days in each direction. The island is fascinating; It was home to the Emperor Napoleon during the last five years of his life, a significant watering port in the heydays of sail, and an island of incomparable beauty make it a delightful destination. And now is the time to travel there; a new airport is expected to be in operation in 2016, and its remote and delightful charm will change for ever.
