Tour Notes

The area is rich in wildlife, various whales, walrus, polar bears, birdlife and narwhal, and offer some spectacular scenery. You can enjoy the walking trails, watch ice-bergs in the Davis Straight, rock climb or simply enjoy the community of 470 Inuit who call this village their home. Qikiqtarjuaq is conveniently close to the northern boundary of the majestically mountainous Auyuittuq National Park.

Please note, fog is a very common occurrence in Arctic Canada in the summer and early fall. It is imperative that you leave yourself a buffer at the end of your trip to allow for delays (sometimes a day or two, not just hours). Trip cancellation and interruption insurance that covers weather delays is critical.
