Family Vacation Adventures

Each family vacation adventure has been created with one of two specific age ranges in mind (9-12 and 13-16), though that doesn’t mean children outside these age brackets won’t be welcome. Each trip is assigned a child-centric activity grading that shows how challenging the trip will be for kids. The grading system is based on how busy and physically challenging the itinerary is, and how much time is spent travelling from place to place.
Activity Levels:
1 – Leisurely
2 – Leisurely/Moderate
3 – Moderate

Our trips are designed to give you maximum value for money, often including authentic, experiential activities as well as accommodation and local tour guide. Child prices are 25% lower than the adult cost, up to the age of 15 or 16 (dependent on the destination and tour).

If none of these suggestions suit your family’s interests please talk to us and we can custom design a personalized program for you and your family.

We’re determined that future generations continue to enjoy exploring the world as we do, so we leave as small an impact as possible when we travel. With your family’s help, we support the local communities that so graciously share their homes with us through various projects, championing local businesses and creating jobs. We’ve initiated projects to eradicate single-use plastic bottles, take children on adventures in their homeland for the first time, and supported community projects all over the world.

Petra and Wadi Rum Adventure, 9 days / 8 nights, age 9+, Activity level 2

Take your family on a trip back in time where Romans roamed and Nabateans built one of the most unusual cities in the world, Petra. Starting in the north with a Gladiator show at Jerash, we head south to Petra, a city still shrouded in mystery and Wadi Rum a stunning desert that looks like Mars.  Both have featured in a number of blockbusters including Indian Jones, Star Wars, The Martian and more recently Aladdin.

Our private camp in Wadi Rum is run by a Bedouin family who will make your stay one of the most memorable parts of your holiday.  Heading further south to the Red Sea coast and the town of Aqaba it’s chill out time at a private beach resort.  Our adventure ends at the lowest point on earth and with one of the craziest experiences you might ever have – floating in the Dead Sea.  Swimming in its saline waters is just about impossible so lie back and relax.  The history astounds, the landscapes amaze and the hospitality of the Jordanian people will stay with you long after your holiday is over.  Jordan really has all the ingredients for a great family adventure.
