I love Inukshuks, but I don’t know why. I just love them! So when I got to Churchill and the city map indicated two Inukshuks, I had to see them. Giant Inukshuks!!! I was delighted!.
Churchill is the place to visit if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful place for vacation. There are no distractions or noise and if you love nature and a little bit of history, both are nicely paired up there. From the shore of the Hudson Bay you can relax watching tiny dots of belugas swim in the horizon. The boat tour to see belugas up close was really fun and the tour to visit the Hudson Bay Company fort was interesting and informative. My stay there was memorable and I hope to return to swim with the belugas and enjoy the giant Inukshuks again!
Thanks to Lois at Great Canadian Travel for her help in organizing my trip to Winnipeg/Churchill. My vacation was very restful and fun. The train was great. I loved Churchill, enjoyed the Hudson Bay beach, the tours and even saw a polar bear from afar (glad it was very far 🙂 The hotel reservation in Winnipeg made my trip stress-free and gave me the opportunity to quickly discover the city; so thanks for suggesting that I stay at the Fort Garry (excellent choice and location!). I really appreciate your help in making this trip memorable.
