Cruising the Panama Canal had always been on my bucket list and finally I was able to check it off my list and take along my son and daughter for the ride. Great Canadian Travel was great, they helped me figure out which cruise line to book with based on what we wanted to see and do.
We boarded the cruise in Fort Lauderdale where a host from Princess Cruises welcomed us on the cruise ship. The ship is very attractive, entertainment on board is very professionally done, the food was very delicious and plentiful at all times.
The first stop was Aruba which was very scenic, followed by Cartagena, a very interesting city. Then onto the Panama Canal, which I call it the highlight of my trip! The locks are an amazing under taking when you realize this is 100 years old and still operating as they did when they first opened. Touring the canal was amazing, seeing all different styles of ships. After leaving Panama out into the Pacific Ocean, we travelled to Costa Rica, and went on a very exciting and interesting excursion by boat to see alligators in the wild. Next stop was in Mexico where we got to do a tequila tasting and town tour. From here we sailed up to Los Angeles where the cruise ended.
One thing I would recommend is to book your shore excursions early and before you leave. Staff on the cruise ship were there to serve travellers with excellence. I would highly recommend this trip.
