Mazza, Barbara and Ted – Rocky Mountaineer & Yakutat

May 27, 2020 | Allison Silvaggio

We had a great trip!  All the details worked and we were very pleased.  The Rocky Mountaineer was everything as advertised.  The accommodations in Kamloops were just wonderful. The Listel Hotel staff provided absolutely first class service.  They were helpful with our tours, gave us complimentary tickets to the Bill Reid Museum, provided a french press coffee for us when we had to get up early to go to the airport.  All the staff we met were focused on customer service.  It was a joy to stay there. Very nice selection!

Leonard’s Landing in Yakutat was perfect for us.  The location, customer service, we had access to a kitchen with all the equipment to prepare food. Their dock was right down the bay from the marina and we were picked up at Leonard’s Landing dock each morning.  Fish processing was at Leonard’s Landing and we did not have to touch them after we caught them until we cooked them. They cleaned them, froze them and packaged them for shipping.  We could not have asked for a better arrangement.  The only real negative on the whole trip was “our” selection of the charter captain and that was on us completely!

Everywhere we went, Banff, the train, Vancouver and Yakutat, we met some really nice people.  It was a great great trip.  Thank you for all you did for us.  I know it was a complicated trip but it all worked out.

Thanks again for a great trip!
